Last night had the pleasure of attending the Eddie Izzard show here in Portland. I've been a huge fan of his work for ages, at least 6 years when I accidentally stumbled over him on his HBO special, Dress to Kill. If you aren't familiar with Mr Izzard, he's a stand up smart and clever comedian who's hook was that he was a cross-dresser, something he's given up in the last year or so. Here's a clip from Dressed to Kill:
After the show last night I noticed a crowd gathered around a tour bus so the Roommate and I waited to see if Eddie showed up at the stage door. Our friend, Vicki, said she had seen where he'd do Q&A after some of his shows on this Stripped tour but he didn't wait around for questions, just announced he wouldn't be signing autographs. So of course the Roommate asked him for his hat. I did get a hand shake though! If you enjoyed the clip above check him out on YouTube or rent one of his many videos.
Did I mention I got to shake his hand? Yes, another brush with fame.

The icing on the cake or what! How can I claim to be his number one fan if I've never seen him live nor shaken his hand. Lucky you.
My favourite is 'le singe est dans l'abre.' Kills me every time as we had that same text book.
Cheers
